Obsidian Sanctum is an interesting raid, with lots of options. When you raid here, you have the option to bypass any or all of the three mini-bosses in the instance. The options you take determine the difficulty of the final encounter and the kinds of achievements and loot you can end up with. I know lots of people have had trouble dealing with all the possibilities. That’s why I opted to get some Obsidian Sanctum how to advice.

As you progress to ever more difficult versions of the raid, you never have to unlearn anything you learned for an earlier version of the raid. By teaching techniques that will work for the most difficult raid even when they’re not necessary to beat the current raid, T Dub ensures that you don’t have to unlearn bad habits as you progress.

Attention: You can get into some bad habits in the lower-level raids. What you’ll learn from T Dub is strategies and tactics that are as effective in the most difficult instance of this raid as they are for the easiest ones. Surely you’ll agree that it’s much better to learn strategies and tactics that apply to all levels of the raid than to have to relearn everything each run through?

Obsidian Sanctum Strategy & Tactics

The Obsidian Sanctum is a relatively short raid that gives you the option to run it at many different difficulty levels. You can do anything from a raid that ends with a single encounter with Sartharion, the raid boss, up to ones that end with you facing Sartharion and three mini-bosses. Of course, the more difficult the raid, the better the rewards.

Obsidian Sanctum has 10-man and 25-man versions. Many groups will run both versions at all levels of difficulty to score all the achievements and loot. The PvE Bible gives you detailed advice on how to handle everything you’ll encounter, no matter how you run this raid.

Given the different number of mini-bosses you can deal with in this raid, coming up with an Obsidian Sanctum strategy can be tough. The more mini-booses you face, the better the loot, but the bigger the headaches. I know how frustrating this can be, since I’ve experienced this myself. There was a time when we couldn’t manage to complete all the different variations no matter what. But that problem is gone now.
